Come BLOOM with Me!

I'm honored to have been invited to be one of the keynote speakers at the South Dakota Early Childhood Education Conference this April. I'll be in the good company of Steve Erwin of Kaplan Early Learning and Jennifer Daniels, creative music maker extraordinaire, as well as a host of other experts who will be leading breakout workshops.

The event is presented by the South Dakota Association for the Education of Young Children and the South Dakota Head Start Association. Two programs I adore.

If you live in or around South Dakota, or if you're up for a road-trip, I'd love to meet you!

Here is the description from the flyer about the program:

Join us as we journey through the BLOOM Mindset and how it transforms early childhood classrooms. We’ll focus on our “Say, Think and Do” approach that plants the seeds of change.

More than a behavioral intervention, this a way to "be with children" that truly transforms everything. Rooted in neuroscience, this approach is based on the latest research and findings shown to support children into new behaviors. You'll get printables and templates that will help keep you on track as you begin to implement this approach that leads to lasting change for children. When you start to BLOOM in your classroom, we know you'll start applying these principals to every other human interaction you have!

PLUS...The Anger Antidote for Kids

I'll be doing a breakout session on one of my all-time favorite topics, which is helping angry children.

Here's the Low-Down on the Breakout Session

Anger is not the enemy! Being uncertain about how to manage BIG emotions is! If you deal with pint-sized people who have gallon-sized anger, this breakout session is for you!

This session will provide you with a variety of tools, tips, techniques and strategies you can start using immediately to help children discharge anger in healthy, productive ways, so they can get back to the business of learning and growing. When you apply simple steps to support angry children, a whole new world of possibilities opens up for the entire classroom. These techniques are research-based and have been tested in real classrooms. Best of all, they WORK!

It's going to be great fun and I am so looking forward to it! Go HERE to learn more about it and register!
